President´s Greeting

With sincerity, I welcome you to surf our website and appreciate very much your interest in theological education.  Whether you receive or support theological education, it is all for God's glory and His kingdom.  As you well know, our churches need good pastors; good pastors need good theological education; and good theological education requires God´s calling and formal training.

 Logos Evangelical Seminary was founded in 1989 under the General Assembly of Evangelical Formosan Church.  Our vision is to "attempt great things for God and rescue millions of souls." Our mission is to develop gospel workers relevant to this generation and to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ by preaching the gospel to all people, leading people to Christ, training disciples, and planting churches. Our core values are: Primacy of Scripture for faith and practice; Strong Evangelical Stance in understanding our worldview; Educational and Academic Excellence in raising scholarship standard; and Mutually Supportive Community between faculty and students for the overall achievement of a balanced and holistic education for our future church leaders.
   
We constantly give thanks to God for His grace and provision for our seminary. What we are today is all by His grace.  We desire to cultivate students in the areas of spiritual formation, theological understanding, ministry skills, and biblical lifestyle to prepare them in becoming able ministers of God who can correctly handle the word of truth.  I often use three phrases to exhort others: "Whatever the Lord says, I will do", "Whatever displeases the Lord, I will not think, see, hear, speak, nor do", and "There is nothing I insist that the Lord cannot change."

In these past twenty years, we have graduated close to three hundred students. They labor in various ministries among various denominations, and the fruit from their labor, bringing glory to God´s name, is our greatest comfort.  We hope you can also join the Logos family by becoming a student, a partner, or a prayer companion to accomplish God¡¦s purpose for this seminary.  May God bless you!
